Leveling up in Big Fish Casino happens just by playing, but it can be slow, especially if you keep running out of chips or if you’re trying to unlock all of the slot machines. If you’re wondering how to level up or how to level up faster in Big Fish Casino, to get the level-up rewards and access to more slot machines, here’s how to do it the easiest and fastest way.
By playing the best slot machines and using a certain spinning and betting technique, you can earn enough XP to level up several times an hour for a long time.
Know How Levels are Earned
Knowing how you get levels in Big Fish Casino is important, especially because it seems like there’s a lot of incorrect information out there about how levels are earned.
The way you level up in Big Fish Casino is by spinning. It’s as simple as that. Each spin is worth a small amount of XP (“Experience Points”) toward your next level: it starts at 7XP and goes up to 37XP depending upon your current level — no matter what amount you bet, no matter if you win or lose, no matter what slot machine you are playing.
At the very low levels, you’ll earn less XP per spin, but you will also need less XP to progress to the next level. All of this will increase as you level up higher. For example, level 1 to 2 requires 45XP and you’ll get 7XP per spin. As you get up and over level 100, you’ll get 37XP per spin and you’ll need to earn over 30,000XP per level.
Your current level and XP are displayed with your profile picture in Big Fish Casino. Your current level is in the star, and your XP is displayed in yellow on the red ring around your profile picture. Once the ring is filled, you will level up and the ring will start at the beginning again. The animation for this is the little star that flies from your spin button to your profile picture with each spin.
To see how much XP you need to get to the next level, open Roulette, Black Jack, Texas Hold’em Poker, or any of the Classic Slots if you have access to them. This will give you access to the “old-style” profile screens. Click on your profile to see your “old-style” profile screen and then click on “Title”. This will show you your current level, amount of XP, and how much XP you need to the next level.
Along the same lines, to see exactly how much XP you are earning per spin, make note of your XP to next level, then go make just one spin in the slot machine of your choice. Return back to a game with the “old-style” profile screen and see how much it has changed.
Remember, unless you’re a very new player like the one shown above, you’ll be earning 37XP per spin no matter what amount you bet, no matter if you win or lose, no matter what slot machine you are playing.
If your goal is to level up in Big Fish Casino, you will want make sure you are using the correct methods for both betting and spinning. First, bet minimum. You won’t get huge and exciting wins but between the small wins you will receive, along with the chips you receive from leveling up, and the free Big Fish Casino chips you can pick up most days of the week, you will likely never run out of chips this way.
Stop Your Spins
The simplest way to explain how to do this is to just hit the spin button a lot — for example, hit it to spin the reels, and then as soon as you can, hit it again before the reels are done spinning. This is sometimes referred to as “spamming” the spin button. The reason for interrupting your spins this is you will accumulate XP much faster if you clip the spins by hitting the spin button quickly. What this will do is stop the reels from spinning and then clip any of the machine’s winning animations and music to start the next spin.
Watch the spin button in the lower right corner of this video:
This results in more spins per hour, and more spins per hour means more XP per hour, and that means faster leveling! At this point, using the auto-spin button is only going to slow down your XP earning.
What Slots to Play to Level Up
Typically, new players have access to a limited amount of slots until they level up past level 66 when all non-VIP slot machines become available. Different slot machines are unlocked as you progress through the levels.
What Slots to Play from Level 0 to Level 44
In the beginning — unless you have access to Diamond Fortunes or Stars n Sevens — play whatever slot you have access to that you like. Just make sure you are betting minimum and to maximize your XP gained for the time you spend, hit the spin button to interrupt your spins.
If you have access to VIP rooms, don’t use those. Regular slots have lower minimum bets.
If you already have access to either Diamond Fortunes or Stars n Sevens, play one of those, using the information for players level 44 and up below.
What Slots to Play From Level 44 and Up
Play in Diamond Fortunes (available at level 44) or Stars n Sevens (available at level 62), still using the same betting and spinning technique as before: bet minimum (100 chips) and spam the spin button. These two slots are a favorite for players trying to level up in Big Fish Casino because they’ve only got one line. With one line, you have less pay lines to potentially win on (even though the payouts are greater than most multi-line slots, so your actual overall winning average is about the same) and therefore you’ll have to wait for less winning animations to finish.
Some players prefer to level in Stars n Sevens because it doesn’t have wilds like Diamond Fortunes does. The thought is that without wilds you’ve got less chance to win so you’ll end up having to watch less winning animations when you auto-play, but to be honest in our tests it didn’t make a difference. This could be because — according to Big Fish Casino — every slot game at Big Fish Casino has the same odds of winning.
Can you use the AUTO button?
Once you have access to Diamond Fortunes and/or Stars n Sevens, you can begin to use auto-spin.
If you want to give your fingers a break, you can start using auto-spin with Diamond Fortunes and Stars n Sevens. Auto-spin is fine here because they only have one line and the winning animations will take less time than on a multi-line slot machine.
The tradeoff with auto-spin is that you won’t level up quite as fast, but you can set it to auto and only pay attention to it at the three times you need to:
- If you win a Mini, Mega, Monster or Colossal Jackpot: you’ll have to hit the “Awesome!” button after the payout animation is done.
- If you level up you will have to hit the yellow button on the level-up screen before you return to auto-spin.
- Like all Big Fish Casino slots, you’ll be removed for inactivity if you don’t interact with the machine for a period of time.
ChipHungry reader Grace also suggests Bandito and the original Dog Town at minimum bet for easy, more hands-off auto-leveling. Ultimately it won’t be quite as fast as Diamond Fortunes and Stars n Sevens but since there are not multiple jackpots to be earned, the chances of you needing to interact with the slot machine are lower.
The strategy for leveling up faster and easier in Big Fish Casino as described above is this:
- Understand how you get levels.
- Bet minimum.
- Spam the spin button.
- Do not use auto-spin unless you are playing on a 1-line slot machine.
- Play in a 1-line slot machine as soon as you have unlocked one.
- Once you use auto-spin, set it and forget it until it needs you.
